If you own a company in Argentina and are still signing employment contracts as if we were in 2023, you are missing out on several serious modifications at once and, worse, you are missing out on tools that are now legal for you as an employer. Law 27.742, known as the Bases and Starting Points for the Freedom of Argentines Law, was passed on June 27, 2024, and enacted in July. Its Title V is called "Labor Modernization" and it overhauled the employment contract regime in a way not seen since the 1991 Employment Law.
