As of May 2026, Law 32/2021 remains fully in force. There is no legislative project in progress to repeal it. What is being touted as "the reform will be reversed" is political noise with no legal translation. Even so, it is worth understanding what changed, why it generates tension, and what would happen if the scenario were to change one day.
